D-Man 2099

Dylan. Max. I need more D-Man 2099 in my life thank you very much.

I colored Chris Haley’s Scott Pilgrim… NEDROID STYLE.

As a first time ever doing it this way, I think it turned out alright.  Not really great, but decent.  This is less a “LOOK AT THIS MASTERFUL WORK” and more a “I just learned how to do this and this is the result!”

It was fun, and most importantly easy.  I don’t know that I’d use this as my normal method of coloring, but it’s a nice go to and a different approach.  I’ll certainly incorporate it into what I do.

The only thing that is missing from Nedroid’s Tutorial is the BRILLIANT “TRAP” method for capturing fills that Dustin Harbin uses.  The Trap method has saved me countless hours of doing flats and what not.  Considering my still is primarly flat, this was a goldmine of a find.

Still working out the coloring kinks and trying new methods (using channels?! whaaaaat?!) and exercising and staying fit.  This is probably the most fun I’ve had drawing since ever.

More coloring homework, I guess?  I don’t know why but I had a hard as hell time trying to get the face colored right.  As it stands I think it looks “OK”, “TOLERABLE”, “NOT OFFENSIVE”
